Rabbi Dov Hillel Klein

Stimulating • Challenging • Informative

These are the three words that best describe a presentation by Rabbi Dov Hillel Klein. Rabbi Dov Hillel Klein brings to the podium over a decade of teaching experience. He is an unusually dynamic, exciting, and multifaceted speaker and person. Rabbi Klein's warm, personal manner touches each member of his audience.

A graduate of the Rabbinical College of America, Morristown, NJ, Rabbi Klein studied in Israel, did his internship at the University of Washington in Seattle, and completed his postgraduate work at the United Lubavitch Yeshiva in Brooklyn, NY. His writings have been published in various rabbinical journals.

In addition to being the District Director for Lubavitch Chabad of Evanston and Wilmette, Rabbi Klein serves as Senior Chaplain of the Evanston Police Clergy Team, where he accompanies officers in squad cars on patrol. He also serves as Faculty Fellow for Northwestern University's Communications Residential College. As an Associate Master he teaches and counsels students, and often brings them as his guests to Cubs, White Sox, Bears, Blackhawks and Bulls games.

He is also the Faculty Advisor to the Tau Delta AEPi fraternity as well as the AEPi National Organization's International Rabbi.

Rabbi Klein really knows people and he knows how to communicate with them. In addition to bringing a wealth of knowledge to his presentation in both religious and secular areas, he brings an open mind, a non-judgmental attitude, and a flexible approach, which gets his listeners involved in interesting and exciting conversations both during and after his lectures.

Rabbi Dov Hillel Klein is a Chassidic Renaissance Man who gives Chabad House an authenticand stimulating Jewish environment.

Partnerships

Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi) Alpha Epsilon Pi is the Jewish fraternity of North America and the only Jewish fraternity on Northwestern's campus. AEPi was founded to provide opportunities for the Jewish college man seeking the best possible college and fraternity experience. We have maintained the integrity of our purpose by strengthening our ties to the Jewish community and serving as a link between high school and career.

Fielder Hillel Center The Hillel Center serves as a center of the Jewish community at Northwestern for students, faculty, and staff. Whether you are ill and want some hot chicken soup delivered to your door, have questions concerning Jewish identity, want to learn to read Hebrew, or go Israeli dancing, Hillel has something to offer you.

Jewish Theatre Ensemble (JTE) The Jewish Theater Ensemble exists to provide the Northwestern community with high quality entertainment and exposure to Jewish involvement in the arts. The organization aspires to challenge common perceptions and generate conversation relating to issues that fall within the resonance of the Jewish experience through artistic media with particular relevance to the Northwestern community. JTE will be involved in the celebration and education of Jewish culture on campus. In order to do this, The Jewish Theater Ensemble will operate at a level of artistic excellence as well as encourage and support creative endeavors that promote Jewish themes in the arts.

Wildcats for Israel
Students for Israel promotes cultural, educational and political awareness about Israel at Northwestern. We encourage appreciation of diversity, open-mindedness, and multiculturalism, and are open to all students regardless of ethnic or religious background.

Wildkatz Klezmer Band Founded in the fall of 2002, the WildKatz Klezmer Ensemble, NU's official klezmer band, plays a wide spectrum of klezmer music, ranging from the traditional to the avant-garde. They perform regularly both on and off campus. General auditions take place at the beginning of fall quarter, individual auditions can be arranged at the beginning of winter or spring quarters as well. All instruments welcome! No previous klezmer experience required!

KulaNU The observant Jewish students at Northwestern have come together to build an observant Jewish community, KulaNU. What does this community mean for students? It means a place to grow, have fun, make new friends and feel safe and welcome. For college students the community they are part of is their home away from home. We are coming together to form a close-knit group of which we can be proud.KulaNU is always busy with many activities and events happening all the time. Programs, services, meals and religious events fill its schedule.

American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) AIPAC empowers students, both on and beyond campus, to effectively advocate for a strong U.S.-Israel relationship through the American political process.
